LG Electronics is showcasing its latest PROFESSIONAL LAUNDRY range at Texcare International 2024, a prominent trade fair for the laundry and textile care industry held in Frankfurt, Germany. Running from 6-9 November, the event is drawing attendees from around the globe, as LG seeks to strengthen its influence in the commercial laundry market with new large-capacity, energy-efficient washers and dryers.
The standout feature of LG’s PROFESSIONAL LAUNDRY lineup is its emphasis on high-capacity and energy-efficient solutions. Designed to cater to businesses with substantial laundry needs, such as hotels and care facilities, LG’s new lineup includes washers with capacities of 20, 25, and 30 kilograms, as well as matching dryers and a 25-kilogram washer-dryer combo with heat pump technology. This combo, in particular, represents a significant advancement, as it is one of the largest in its category and employs an innovative inverter heat pump module, which LG claims significantly reduces drying times while maximising energy savings.
LG’s use of AI technology is also a key feature across the lineup, with systems designed to monitor and adjust water usage, wash times, and drying cycles based on each load. This AI-driven technology allows a full wash and dry cycle to complete in just 60 minutes, meeting the needs of fast-paced commercial environments. Additionally, LG’s washers include a Ball Balancing System that helps stabilise the drum at high spin speeds of up to 1,100 RPM, improving machine durability and reliability over time.
To further support efficiency, LG has incorporated a range of smart maintenance features into the lineup, including Proactive Customer Care, a service that tracks machine performance and alerts facility managers to potential issues via the LG Laundry Crew app. This preventive approach helps reduce unexpected breakdowns and keeps machines operational for longer. LG’s Tub Cleaning function adds an extra layer of hygiene, maintaining drum cleanliness and reducing potential contamination risks.
According to LG, these new commercial models deliver significant value for high-demand users looking to cut costs without compromising on quality. The latest PROFESSIONAL LAUNDRY lineup aligns with the company’s global strategy to address sustainability concerns within the commercial sector by lowering energy usage.
“Building on our success in the residential laundry market, we are now committed to leading the commercial laundry sector with our new, energy-efficient PROFESSIONAL LAUNDRY lineup,” stated Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “Texcare International 2024 is a crucial opportunity to grow our business in Europe and strengthen our position in the global market.”
LG’s expansion in the commercial laundry market has been steadily gaining traction since 2008, especially after recent collaborations with North American laundry service provider WASH, a partnership intended to boost LG’s presence in the U.S. and Canadian markets for multi-family housing and university laundry facilities. Following a successful showcase at the Clean Show 2022 in the U.S., the company’s latest appearance at Texcare 2024 demonstrates its commitment to European markets and its broader goal of driving global growth.
With energy costs on the rise, LG’s high-efficiency commercial laundry solutions aim to attract businesses in need of dependable, sustainable equipment to meet daily demands while reducing energy consumption. For more news on LG, visit www.LGnewsroom.com.
