The 25th edition of the Festival del Habano is set to take place in Havana, Cuba, from February 24 to 28, 2025, bringing together the world’s leading experts, cigar aficionados, and industry professionals for a week of exclusivity, tradition, and exciting releases. First held in 1999, the festival remains the premier global event for lovers of Habanos, and this year will pay tribute to three iconic brands: Cohiba, H. Upmann, and Romeo y Julieta.
With a history steeped in luxury and culture, the Festival is a celebration of everything Habanos represents. The event will begin with the essential Trade Fair, a meeting point for manufacturers and professionals, where over 61 companies from 10 countries will present their latest innovations in the premium tobacco sector. The Trade Fair is an important opportunity to explore new business avenues and discover the finest products in the industry.
The International Seminar will be another highlight, with renowned experts and enthusiasts gathering to explore the history, culture, and innovation of Habanos cigars. The seminar will feature engaging lectures, including one that will celebrate the 35th anniversary of the La Casa del Habano Franchise Network. Another key session will reflect on the evolution of the exclusive Cohiba Línea Behike, which has become one of the most prestigious lines in the world.
For the first time, expert cigar rollers—known as torcedores—will compete for the title of Gran Torcedor 2025, providing an exciting addition to the Festival’s programme. Alongside the seminars, the festival will host the Habanos World Challenge, where participants will put their knowledge of Habanos to the test.
The Festival will also offer attendees the opportunity to visit tobacco plantations and factories in Cuba’s renowned Vuelta Abajo region, known for cultivating the world’s finest tobacco. Visits to leading cigar factories, including El Laguito, La Corona, Partagás, and H. Upmann, will allow participants to witness the meticulous process behind crafting the most sought-after cigars. Attendees can also take part in cigar rolling masterclasses.
The Festival will feature three exclusive nights of celebration, beginning with the Welcome Evening on Monday, February 24, held at the Salón de Protocolo Cubanacán. This night will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Romeo y Julieta brand. The Mid-Week Event Night, hosted at the Salón de los Pasos Perdidos in the National Capitol of Havana, will focus on H. Upmann cigars, while the Gala Evening will close the Festival in style, celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Cohiba Línea Behike.
As part of the Gala, the prestigious Charity Humidor Auction will take place, with proceeds supporting the Cuban Public Health System. This auction also grants winners exclusive access to the Habanos Private Selection programme, an elite membership offering access to rare cigars, bespoke humidors, and exceptional experiences.
The Habanos Private Selection program is the pinnacle of cigar collecting, providing its members with exclusive benefits such as priority access to some of the most prestigious vitolas in the Habanos portfolio, personalised customisation options, and the opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind humidor.
This year’s Festival promises to be an extraordinary celebration of craftsmanship, heritage, and the art of cigar making, bringing together connoisseurs from around the world to honour the legacy of Habanos.
