Arctech, a global leader in solar tracking and racking solutions, unveiled its latest advancements at the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) 2025 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The three-day event, held from 14 to 16 January at the ADNEC Exhibition Centre, brought together developers, EPCs, and energy industry leaders across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
Arctech showcased its cutting-edge solar technologies, including the SkyLine II single-axis solar tracker, the StarShine I intelligent PV cleaning robot, and its advanced Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). These solutions demonstrated the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in renewable energy.
Innovation in Solar Tracking and Cleaning
The SkyLine II solar tracker, a signature product from Arctech, was a key attraction at the summit. Known for its adaptability to regional conditions, the tracker was paired with the StarShine I PV cleaning robot, forming a compelling solution for maximising solar efficiency in challenging environments.
The StarShine I robot, specifically designed for the MEA region, is equipped with an advanced “Tracker” joint control system that ensures reliable operation even in sandstorms and high winds. Key features include:
- Lightweight Materials: Over 30% lighter than traditional cleaning machines, reducing strain on solar modules.
- Maintenance-Free Design: Eliminates the need for costly upkeep over the lifecycle of a solar project.
- Enhanced Compatibility: Adapts to varying solar array spacings and construction inconsistencies.
- Intelligent Mobility: A four-wheel-drive system with superior obstacle-climbing capabilities for uneven terrain.
These innovations position the StarShine I robot as a vital tool for optimising solar panel efficiency and ensuring consistent energy generation in harsh climates.
Advanced Energy Storage Solutions
Arctech also highlighted its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), which features in-house developed Power Conversion Systems (PCS), Battery Management Systems (BMS), and Energy Management Systems (EMS). The solution addresses the growing demand for reliable energy storage in the MEA region, enhancing the resilience and sustainability of solar energy projects.
Commitment to a Greener Future
Since 2024, Arctech has focused on its “tracker+” business model, which integrates solar tracking solutions with complementary technologies. This approach aligns with the company’s “Green Power+” ecosystem strategy, aimed at delivering integrated, sustainable solutions for renewable energy generation.
Speaking at the event, an Arctech spokesperson said: “Our innovative tracker and cleaning solutions are tailored to the unique challenges of the MEA region, helping to advance the solar industry while paving the way for a greener future.”
The summit served as a platform for Arctech to reinforce its position as a leader in solar technology and sustainability. By focusing on cutting-edge designs and region-specific solutions, the company continues to drive progress in renewable energy.
